Pink Floyd - When We Were Young : Studio Outtakes 1966-1967

I have had this one for a few years now and although I do enjoy it, I have not been able to find shit for information about it. It's pretty frustrating when you are a completist of the worst kind and cannot find the info. you need. Very frustrating indeed. Either way I do enjoy the record and the sound isn't bad for the era as well. Early favorites like 'Let's Roll Another One', 'See Emily Play', 'Astronomy Domine' and the crowd favorite 'Scream Thy Last Scream' (minor sarcasm inserted). I cannot express the reasons behind my love of outtakes and demos, maybe I just love seeing/hearing something come together beautifully from it's disparate origins. Maybe I am just weird. Weird or not, DaddlyRich loves you all and hopes you will enjoy this gem. Also - be sure to check the picture at the bottom for photographic proof that Roger Waters has smiled at least once in the last 40 years.

This seems to be an abbreviated version of "A Tree Full Of Secrets" disc 1.
See http://www.hokafloyd.com/CD2/ATFS/Volume_1.htm
for the tracklist, source, etc.

This is definitely an alternate version of Tree Full of Secrets disc 1. I've compared each track on this to each track on my copy of Tree disc 1... they are definitely the same versions, and in the same order. However, overall, When We Were Young seems to have significantly better stereo separation. At least in comparison to my copy. Especially tracks 6 and 14. The downside is that When We Were Young has fewer tracks than Tree disc 1.
