Flaming Lips - Live At The World Cafe Radio Show Sept. 5 2002

I listen to this one quite often for the wonderfully low-key versions of some of my favorites. This was their little jaunt to promote the newly released (and now classic) 'Yoshimi Battles The Pink Robots' and they were in fine form. It's a beautiful thing to see their larger-than-life album tracks treated to a lo-fi presentation and continues to prove my point that Wayne Coyne had one of the most achingly beautiful voices in all of popular music. Also, we all must support the World Cafe program at KCRW by listening, buying their advertiserd wares and sharing the great music. Also, there is a wonderful Christmas song at the end and Wyane's love of all things Christmas is explained in the interview bits )which make up half the file but are so good).

Enjoy.

I am glad SOMEONE finally is - this is one of my favorite pieces of music in my collection and nobody has posted that they agree. Oh, the lonesome life of a blogger.....sigh.
