Johnny Cash & The Tennessee Two - Guest Star Radio Show 1959

I only wish I could remember where this one originated so I could give the proper thanks. Either way, it's my link so I don't need any leeching bullshit from ye olde peanut gallery. This is a short little show for a war bonds program that has Johnny and the boys running through a couple of their tunes. As always, it is wonderful just to hear the man - speaking or singing.
Enjoy!

1. Guest Star Introduction
2. Country Boy
3. Chat With Johnny
4. Don't Take Your Guns To Town
5. Johnny Cash 'Buy Savings Bonds' Spot
6. Swing Low, Sweet Chariot
7. Guest Star Outro.

Daddy-O,
This is great. It'll tuck right into my Cash collection just fine.
I was blessed to meet the man in '87. Got to spend a little time with him, June and the Carter Sisters. Also saw a show with Ricky Scaggs opening up for him that same night. John Jr.'s camera broke down so they asked me to shoot the whole show, which I gladly did. Still have the raw footage. I consider that evening to be one of the best times of my life. Thanks again!

Senor W - I am in awe, sir. That must have really been something to see, and to meet the man himself. Thanks for sharing the memory.

Thanks Ape for the '59 radio show. Mr. Cash was and is a righteous son of a gun. And thank you senor w for sharing your story of meeting the man himself. Blessed indeed.

Regards all

Here are some recordings which Johnny Cash did during the last 10 years of his life for several soundtracks, tribute albums, other people's albums and so on. They were not released on American Records but they sound as if they belonged there. I called this collection "American 4 1/2". Enjoy!
