Various Artists - Brats On The Beat: Ramones For Kids

These kids discs totally kick ass over what we had when I was a pup. The kind folks at SFRP had this available and Daddy could not resist sharing it here with you fine folks. Here's a little blurb -

"is Ramones cover album is by Go-Kart Records (USA/EUROPE). It's titled Brats On The Beat: Ramones For Kids. CD contains Ramones classics done by people like Jim Lindberg of the Pennywise, Blag Dahlia of The Dwarves, Nick Oliveri of the Mondo Generator/ ex-Queens Of The Stone Age etc. Songs have been "kidified" by the Gabba Gabba Hey Singers. Each song features kids singing all the choruses and background parts."

And what is even better is that a portion of the proceeds go to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital - they do amazing work and help the kids who need it most. So you are hereby ordered to download this and give it a test drive then go and buy it.

1.Blitzkrieg Bop - Jim Lindberg (Pennywise)
2.Rock And Roll High School - Matt Skiba (Alkaline Trio)
3.California Sun - Brett Anderson (The Donnas)
4.Do You Remember Rock'N'Roll Radio? - Greg Attonito (Bouncing Souls)
5.Suzy Is A Headbanger - Nick Oliveri (Mondo Generator/ ex-Queens Of The Stone Age)

Huh? Blitzkrieg Bop - sung by kids?
It really works (they don't sing actually, they scream and shout). Remember the kids backing Alice Cooper's "School's out", and you get the idea.
