Hello everyone. Maybe you can help me here with this little problem I have. I do really enjoy keeping this blog up-to-date but - since the advent of rapidshare.com and the pending demise of rapidshare.de I will not be re-posting any of the files from the old rapidshare.de to the new site. Too much work and I don't really have the time. I am sure with enough kind requests I will re-post some of them for you good friends to share. But I am not going to spend time moving almost 200 files and uploading them (again, mind you) - just too much to do. Also - I am lucky enough to have many people commenting (and some even say 'thanks') but if you leave your comment on a post I made 3 months ago then I may just have to ignore it if you are expecting a response. To rectify this I have tried to get a 'shout box' added to my page but I am an old fart who is apparently not as handy with his Mac as he once liked to believe and cannot place it correctly. I will be taking suggestions and helpful comments (at the most recent post please and specify the album in your comment and I will look into it). As it has been for me when I check my comments (they are automatically e-mailed to me) they are not specific about what album they are referring to. So , basically anyone who has been bitching about the free music (you know who you are) you can kiss my ass and for those who have been kind - you are much appreciated and are the reason I do this. To answer a few questions I have received lately -
1. I am not really all THAT old, I just am a cranky guy.
2. Regarding the Gwen Stefani comments I posted - when I made a mention of 'a girl I was once madly in love with' - probably none of you knew her but she HAS visited this page. Mystery solved - you nosy kids. Plus, I am happily married.
3. I have about 2 1/2 500 GB drives worth of music at the moment but am getting more everyday.
4. I do have a life other than sitting around looking/sharing music - but I DO enjoy this.
p.s. Much love to all who have given thanks and more music tomorrow!!!!

This is a great blog and all your efforts are very appreciated. The personal nature of your notes to us, your loyal subjects, are also much enjoyed. Please know that we are thankful for your shares, even if its not always stated in the comments.

From another aging (but not old) fart, bluesmutt.

Nah, Old Ben Frnaklin and I don't share many similarities in our features. I just hope to pick up as many of his traits as I can while I am around. Thanks for all the kind words everyone - I just wish I could sort this shoutbox shit out.

G'Day,

I empathize about being cranky without having to be old! I appreciate the variety in your post and am always eager to stumble upon something I've never heard before or haven't heard in a long time. keep up the great work.

BTW, rapidshare does have a method of transferring all your rs.de links to rs.com without having to re-post from scratch. This is done using the "remote-upload" menu and it can handle batches of links. Hope this helps and is not too onerous for you. We wouldn't want to lose all the hard work you've done up till now.

Cheers, SamIam
