David Bowie - The Shadow Man (Limited to 1,000 Copies 24K Gold Disc)

A limited edition of David Bowie outtakes is always reason to rejoice and cue the download in my world. Apparently this little treasure has sessions recorded between the 'Hunky Dory' and 'Ziggy Stardust' classic albums. Not a whole lot of information available, sadly. As ever, if you know something about this release that you would like to share - please feel free to drop an old man a line. I have just found a little trove of Bowie rarities that I had thought lost so be prepared for more in the future.

1. I'm Just Looking For A Friend
2. How Lucky You Are
3. Shadow Man
4. I've Got Lightning
5. Rupert The Riley
6. Tired Of My Life

Awesome - thanks! bring on the other Bowie rarities!

Here's a great site for DB info:
www.illustrated-db-discography.nl

The search by song tool at the bottom of the page is very helpful. There's good stuff about the songs included on Shadow Man.

Nice collection!! Great post! Thank you very much.
You don't see too many Bowie outtakes around.

Wow! Many thanks. You wouldn't happen to have Bowie's "Ragazzo Solo, Ragazza Sola" would you? ("Space Oddity" in Italian). It was on an old LP called Rare Bowie, and I've been looking for it ever since my copy was nicked.

I really appreciate your blog and your excellent music taste. Keep up the good work!

Apparently these songs belong to the period Hunky Dory-Ziggy, in fact the song 'I'm just looking for a friend' appears in his double CD 'Bowie At The Beeb' dated that year. The tracklist is definitively wrong on the sleeve, it doesn't match the whole thing. The song 'Tired Of My Life' (or the song under this tittle) appeared almost ten years later as a new incarnation in the Scarymonster's album under the name 'It's no game', funny Bowie should 'recycle' his tunes this way, in such vast spans of time. I'm looking forward for new releases of rarities by the Duke. Thanks.
