Also seems like I got a bit side-tracked on the comedy posts here as well - this is a tough one-man job. Ok, here we go with one of the all-time classics - solid gold from start to finish. I still can't believe they let us in the theater the night this bad boy opened. Me and my friends were 16 and all fans of Eddie and knew this would be the best comedy film we would see that year - who knew then that it would be the best ever? In his prime he had a perfect blending of Richard Pryor and Bill Cosby's best parts with his own gift for observation and timing. He dropped off the comedy circuit after only a few albums and is doing movies now, I hear (as evidenced by my sons love for Dr. Doolittle and Daddy Daycare, etc.). We miss you Eddie, get back up on the stage.
