Depeche Mode - Black Celebration Deluxe Edition Bonus DVD (live Tracks)

No, I didn't post the whole shebang on this one, sorry. I am trying to not to draw as much attention to myself as in the past. This post will only contain the bonus DVD tracks from the awesome Deluxe Package of one of their greatest albums. Mainly because of the dearth of decent sounding live shows of this era from the band, I always love to hear anything resembling a soundboard live show. I may even put some of the better-sounding bootlegs up here if anyone is interested. Always a great show from these fellows. So everyone put on black clothes and your Dr. Martens and alooowly sway back and forth, whilst chanting. "Let's have a Blaaaaaaaack Celllllabratioooooon tooooooonight." If you were a child of the early 1980's, Oh the memories this one will bring back. Whew. Actually I have a few interesting Depeche Mode gems that I will be putting here, I have many regular visitors here who have requested a few. So, I hope you all enjoy.

12. Black Celebration (Live Birmingham 86) (bonus track)
13. Question Of Time (Live Birmingham 86) (bonus track)
14. Stripped (Live Birmingham 86) (bonus track)
15. Shake The Disease (bonus track)
16. Flexible (bonus track)
17. It's Called A Heart (bonus track)
18. Fly On The Windscreen (bonus track)
19. But Not Tonight (bonus track)
20. Breathing In Fumes (bonus track)
21. Black Day (bonus track)
22. Christmas Island (bonus track)

Depeche Mode - Music For The Masses Remixes

Had to hijack the image since this one came to DaddyRich without a cover. I will always accept Depeche Mode discs, especially their remixes. I have said it before here and will repeat - no band puts more into their music to fit it for remixes. Some of the best (and worst, sadly as well) have remixed their tunes and given them great new life. Hearing this after so many years still has some great resonance with DaddyRich - the 'Strangelove (Razormaid Classic Remix)' was playing at a club I went to with this girl I was madly in love with in 1994 as her chaperone in case her date turned out badly - I was THAT friend. I am sure many guys here were the same, uugggh. Don't miss those years. This disc has some greats on it as well - so enjoy.

1. Never Let Me Down Again (FM Power Mix)
2. Strangelove (Razormaid Classic Mix)
3. Little 15 (Bogus Brothers)
4. Behind The Wheel (Disconet Mix)
5. Nothing (Dallas Mix)
6. To Have And To Hold (Icelandoc Taster Mix)
7. Strangelove (Miller Remix)
8. Route 66 (Rodgers Mix)
9. Behind The Wheel (Dub)
10. Pleasure, Little Treasure (Razormaid)
11. Behind The Wheel - Roze 66 (Megamix)
12. Death's Door (Skeleton Key Mix)

Depeche Mode - Enjoy The Rumours Live 1993

I guess I could consider myself lucky to have so many Depeche Mode concerts in my collection, but so many have crappy quality. Excepting, of course, the 101 discs - which still enjoy considerable play in the old stereo. This one is about the best I have from this era, one in which I had pretty much written them off as being done and so did many others, apparently. It was in the middle of Dave Gahan's very public heroin problems and it got old hearing about it to me so I just tuned out. It's gratifying to know they soldiered on without my inestimable custom and that they also continued to sound great and make wonderful music. So, please enjoy this nice document of their live prowess and I will sift through my many boots and seek the best sounding ones for future posts.

Songs Duration
Condemnation 3:47
Enjoy The Silence 6:41
Everything Counts 5:11
Halo 4:36
Higher Love 6:23
I Feel You 7:10
In Your Room 6:40
Judas 5:08
Never Let Me Down Again 4:49
Personal Jesus 5:44
Policy of Truth 4:58
Rush 4:37
Stripped

Depeche Mode - Everything Counts & Live Tracks 12" EP

Been stuck on 1960's tracks lately, haven't I? Okay - let's move forward a bit to the wacky and wild 1980's. Of all the disposable music that lacked talent and heart - these boys stand out as the opposite. They brought great craft and wonderful lyrical sense to their songs, especially from this era of the band. They were on top of the world when this record came out and it was after years of toil in the over-crowded and under-talented Euro-Synth-Pop Scene, so true talent wins out in the long run, eh? I am not saying that their songs & lyrics changed the world or anyhting but they certainly do not deserve the slagging they seem to catch a lot of now by fans from way back. I will not abandon them and give you here an example of them at their peak of popularity. I can also vouch for their live prowess - I saw them in 1991 on the World Violation Tour (Dodger Stadium, anyone else there then?) and it was quite the spectacle and worth every penny. Also - has any other band showed so much love to their fans by offering so many extras on their 12" singles? Ther's no bullshit 'A' side and an instrumental on the flip - this is value for your money. Do your collection a favor and get this.

1. Everything Counts (Original 7'' Mix
2. New Life (Live)
3. Boys Say Go! (Live)
4. Nothing To Fear (Live)
5. The Meaning Of Love (Live)
6. Everything Counts (Original 12'')
